THE MILL HOUSE, SKIPTON
We have successfully completed a brand new 86 bedroom care home in Skipton for Hadrian Healthcare. The site was formally an old mill and industrial units which we have retained the old mill building and demolished the industrial units to create the care home and the two are linked by a curved glazed corridor. The site is located on the bank of the Leeds Liverpool Canal and residents have access to canal boat trips.
The external walling of the care home building is stone and is set over four storeys, the mill building brickwork has been retained which is set over three storeys incorporating a canalside café for residents and visitors. Externally we have created a large secure landscaped garden space which includes patio areas and a vegetable garden with a greenhouse.
Internally all bedrooms are complete with ensuites, there are numerous Lounges and Dining Rooms on every level, a Hair Dressing Salon, bar area, roof terraces overlooking the canal and a market square area.
