Walter Thompson receives Bronze level at Considerate Constructors National site Awards 2026
Walter Thompson are delighted to announce that we have been presented with Bronze level at Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards 2026. This accolade recognises outstanding performance on our work on ‘The Maltings’, near Bridlington for Fisher Care Group.
The Maltings is a 59-bed luxury care home in Sewerby, near Bridlington. The finished home provides 59 beds for residential, dementia, and respite care, with single rooms, double rooms, and suites all with en-suite facilities, air conditioning, and a luxury interior fit-out by Bernard Interiors.
Throughout the project, our team has worked hard to ensure that our operations have a positive impact on everyone around us. From local residents and businesses to our own workforce on site.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is an independent, not-for-profit organisation founded in 1997, dedicated to improving the image of the construction industry. The CCS National Site Awards. Running since 1998 the awards are among the most prestigious accolades in UK construction, celebrating sites that go above and beyond in their commitment to the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice.
The Code focuses on three key pillars: Respect the Community, Care for the Environment, and Value the Workforce. Awards are independently assessed by trained CCS Monitors, who make unannounced visits to registered sites and evaluate performance across all three areas. Winners are awarded Bronze, Silver, or Gold based on their scores — making each award a genuine mark of excellence.
Paul Hammerton, Managing Director of Tom Willoughby, said: “We’re incredibly proud to receive this recognition at the CCS National Site Awards. It’s a testament to the hard work, professionalism, and commitment of our entire team, who consistently go above and beyond to deliver not just quality construction, but a positive impact on the communities we serve. This award reflects our shared values of excellence, respect, and continuous improvement, and it motivates us to keep raising the bar across every project we undertake.”
Walter Thompson is a proud registered member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Our involvement in the Scheme reflects a genuine commitment to the communities in which we work, the wellbeing of our workforce, and our responsibility to the environment.
We would like to congratulate all other award winners at this year’s CCS National Site Awards, and extend our thanks to the Considerate Constructors Scheme for their continued work in raising standards across the UK construction industry.
