Breckon Hill School Completion

20th Feb 2020

Work has recently completed at Breckon Hill Primary School, Middlesbrough. The new build classroom extension which included refurbishment works of kitchen and boiler room, new electrical and mechanical installation along with providing a new external play area.

Working in a live School environment is especially challenging from a Health and Safety standpoint, this is why we go above and beyond the recommended standards and work closely with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS). This included safety presentations to the children about the dangers of construction sites and involved a visit from Honor & Ivor Goodsite, the CCS mascots to help get the message across to the children in a fun way.

All our sites are audited by the CCS and given a score, Breckon Hill scored a brilliant 44 out of 50. The CCS monitor said the following about our site:

“For its size, duration and location this is an exceptional site being managed professionally and considerately. In four of the areas under consideration (out of the five) the site has been judged as “exceptional.”

This was followed up by the School who said:

“This new build classroom extension has far exceeded our expectations and is going to change the educational wellbeing of our pupils.”

We would like to thank everyone from Breckon Hill School for being so fantastic throughout the duration of the project and hope the children enjoy their new classrooms.

Huge thanks to all the team on this project:
