TFM's Mission Christmas

The FT Group have started to collect gifts and take donations for Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ charity. This is the fourth successive year that the FT Group have offered their support to the charity, which was established in 1996 as the official charity of TFM Radio & Magic 1170.

Their aim is to make a long-term difference to, and enhance the lives of, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people in the South Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire Region.

In 2016 the charity raised over £2.4 million in gifts and cash and made Christmas special for over 47,000 children across the North East.
Paul Hammerton, Managing Director of Walter Thompson, said
“Christmas is about spending quality time with family and friends and seeing children’s smiles after Father Christmas has left them a present or two. The thought that some children will have nothing to smile about at Christmas is heart breaking.
“I’ve been delighted at the response of our team in previous years and proud that we’ve make a real difference to many families. We chose the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas as it is a local charity with the aim of providing Christmas gifts to disadvantaged children throughout the north east region.”
This Christmas we’re aiming to push on from last year’s huge success and really give the kids some great presents on the big day.
So if you think you can help then please donate any gifts or money to Construction House, High Street, Northallerton. We will then add this to our collection for a final drop off to TFM by the 17th of December.
Any presents need to be new, unwrapped and suitable for children from 0 to 18. Sensory and specially adapted toys are in high demand, but any toys (or even cash to buy toys) would be greatly appreciated.
